§ It was great seeing everyone this past week at Back to School Night! I look forward to a wonderful year with your students!

§ One of the goals of 4th grade is for the students to become more independent. As parents, you can encourage your child to be responsible for his/ her homework. In the classroom, the students know that it is their responsibility to unpack, turn in homework, sharpen pencils, and be ready for the day to begin! It’s exciting to see them become more independent!

§ The students and I chatted about turning in Spelling book pages. We decided to turn them in on Friday. Please make sure your student does the assigned Spelling pages every night and turns them in on Friday.

§ Sign up for the Hoe Down fundraiser in the classroom. We are looking for help as well as donations of root beer float supplies!
§ A message from the room parents:
o If you have not already turned in money for the class parties, please do so as soon as possible. You may either give it to Sally Warren or Miss Gast.
